Man, 40, Sues Parents For Throwing Out His Massive Porn Collection

A Michigan man who was living rent-free with his mum and dad after going through a divorce is now suing them for thousands after they destroyed his valuable porn collection.

How valuable?

His 12 moving boxes full of pornography, and two boxes of sex toys are estimated to be worth US$28,940.72 --AU$40,000.

He's now trying to squeeze out more than  US$86,000 -- AUD$119, 810 -- in damages from his parents -- about three times the porn's value.

In a lawsuit filed last week, the plaintiff, identified as 'Charlie', had moved to Indiana to live with his folks for 10 months in 2016, so he could get his life back on track in the wake of his divorce.

Fast forward several months, Charlie's parents drove to his home with a car full of belongings he'd left at their property, but there was one thing missing: his ridiculously massive stash of adult films and magazines.

All 14 boxes had been destroyed. Charlie wasn't happy, so he began emailing his parents.

"If you had a problem with my belongings, you should have stated that at the time and I would have gone elsewhere," the email read, according to Fox News. "Instead, you choose to keep quiet and behave vindictively."

His father allegedly responded, explaining the stash was destroyed for Charlie's mental and emotional health.

“I would have done the same if I had found a kilo of crack cocaine," he said. "Someday, I hope you will understand.”

According to his dad, Charlie's addiction turned into a small porn business during his high school and college days.

It became so problematic that he was reportedly kicked out of both for selling dirty films to other students.

“I did you a big favour by getting rid of all this stuff,” Charlie's father said.
