Footage Captures The Moment A Utility Pole Fell On A Seattle Couple's Car

A Seattle couple narrowly escaped with their lives after a utility pole struck their car in a freak accident.

Linda and Tom Cook were driving shortly before 4pm when a wooden power pole on Seattle's East Marginal Way collapsed and fell on their SUV.

The pole struck the front of the car, blocking the couple's view of each other.

The couple managed to escape with only minor injuries, including bruising and bleeding across their faces.

Seattle officials have stated that it is unclear what caused the pole to fall but asserted that the poles had passed a full inspection three years ago, according to the Seattle Times.
