Health Alert: Third Egg Producer Recall Within A Month

This is the third egg recall in less than a month, this time with salmonella fears surrounding Southern Highland egg products.

Southern Highland Organic Eggs in a six-pack (300g) and 12-pack (700g) are being recalled due to potential Salmonella Enteritidis contamination.

The brand is sold at Woolworths in New South Wales and Victoria, IGA in NSW and other independent retailers in NSW, all dates up to and including May 9.

  • Southern Highland Organic Eggs 300g (6 pack)
  • Southern Highland Organic Eggs 700g (12 pack)
  • Best before dates: All dates up to and including 09/05/2019

According to the NSW Food Authority, food products contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis may cause illness if consumed.

The Authority added that anyone who has bought Southern Highland products should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
