Horrific Hit And Run Of Little Girl Playing In Her Frontyard Caught On Camera

Authorities are on the hunt for a hit and run driver who struck a nine-year-old girl who was playing in her front yard at the time.

LaDerihanna Holmes was playing with a friend at her home -- in Georgia, near Atlanta -- when a black car careered off the road mowing her down and then crashed into the family home.

According to reports, the little girl suffered a fractured skull and a shattered pelvis, broken in three places.

Her mother, Charlotte Bolton told CNN she was inside the house when the event unfolded and immediately knew something was wrong.

"I heard a very bad sound, and my house shook like an earthquake," Bolton said. "I immediately knew something was wrong. I screamed, 'My baby!' because I knew she was on the porch."

LaDerihanna Holmes' father acted quickly and rushed her to the hospital.

The family of the has since released video surveillance to help capture the perpetrator.

Bolton said, "she's in a lot of pain, but she's in good spirits,".

A GoFundMe page was set up to help cover the little girl's medical bills, rehabilitation and long-term care, and has so far raised $38,000.
