Police Plea To Find Hit-And-Run Driver Who Struck Toddler And Woman

Police have released CCTV footage in a bid to find a hit-and-run driver who injured a woman and two-year-old girl as they crossed a road in Melbourne's Glen Huntly.

Security camera footage has been released in a bid to find a hit-and-run driver who knocked down a woman and a two-year-old girl as they crossed a road in Melbourne.

Police say an Elsternwick woman, 63, and a two-year-old Caulfield girl were crossing Booran Road, Glen Huntly, about noon on February 20.

As they crossed, they were struck by a black Toyota RAV 4 which was turning from Booran Road into Glen Huntly Road.

The Toyota pulled over to the side of the road and the driver, perceived to be a middle-aged woman, approached the pair, said she was going to call a doctor before returning to her car and driving off.

The 63-year-old suffered serious injuries and is still in hospital, while the two-year-old suffered bruising and trauma.
