Tropical Cyclone Trevor has caused chaos in far north Queensland. Hundreds of millimetres of rain and wind gusts of more than 220-kilometres an hour were recorded after the category three storm made landfall near Lockhart River last night. The storm has now been downgraded to a category two and is tracking south-west.

It's been revealed a fertility doctor is the father of 48 children after impregnating patients with his own sperm, without them knowing. Dr Donald Cline was caught out when one of his children received a DNA test for Christmas after a stranger reached out claiming to be her half-sister decades later. The now 80-year-old received a one-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to the obstruction of justice but hasn't copped more charges because Indiana law doesn't specifically prohibit fertility doctors from using their own sperm.
