British MP’s have rejected leaving the EU on March 29 without a withdrawal agreement. It means lawmakers will now get a vote on delaying Brexit. That vote goes ahead tomorrow and if it passes -- and the European Union agrees to it -- the UK will not leave the EU in March.

The United States has joined a growing list of countries in grounding Boeing 7-3-7 Max 8 planes. It comes in the wake of the weekend's fatal crash in Ethiopia that killed all 157 passengers and crew on board. Australia, Canada and the EU have also closed their air space to the jets as investigations continue.

Three men are in hospital after a double shooting and axe attack in Sydney's west. Paramedics were called to Steven Street in Blacktown at 5am on Thursday morning following a home invasion. One man was treated for a gunshot wound to his thigh, a second suffered a gunshot wound to his wrist, while a third man had a serious head wound. Police are investigating.

NSW is in for a drenching. Sydney, the Central Coast and Wollongong are expecting up to 70millimetres of rain to fall on Thursday which could lead to flash flooding. The wet weather is expected to continue through to Saturday.

A Koala at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has just earned the title of "world's sexiest koala". The five-year-old marsupial, Rogue, has sent social media into meltdown after he was snapped in a seriously seductive pose. The Sanctuary has responded to the viral image posting on Facebook that they are "working hard to ensure that he remains humble and doesn’t lose his Aussie larrikin charm".

As Labor and the Unions push for a hike to the minimum wage, restaurant and café owners have called for a freeze. Restaurant and Catering Australia, which represents 45,000 businesses nationally, asked the Fair Work Commission not to grant an increase this year given the financial pressures on employers, according to The Australian.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp suffered global outages on Thursday morning. Thousands were left unable to send messages and refresh their feeds. It's not clear if the outages are connected but the issues all began at the same time. An investigation is underway.

Australia has won the fifth and final one-day international against India by 35 runs –- taking out the series 3-2. Opener Usman Khawaja steered the Aussies to victory, scoring a second century in three matches.
