Man On The Run After Hot-Wiring Stolen Loader And Smashing Into Pub

A pub in Adelaide is cleaning up after a stolen, hot-wired front-end loader smashed into the premises, causing extensive damage.

A cleaner got a shock after the front-end loader crashed into the Valley Inn on Grand Junction Road, Hope Valley, at about 5am Monday morning.

The driver allegedly stole the vehicle from a Golden Grove yard and ploughed it straight through the back of the pub, before crashing through the back fence.

The driver dumped the loader on Leeds Avenue, about 200 metres from the crash site, and was last seen running towards Valley Road.

Thankfully no one was injured in the smash, but the office next to the gaming room has been destroyed.

Police have dusted for fingerprints as they work to find the culprit.

Anyone with information that may help the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
