Wanted Man Arrested After Cops Find Him Dangling Upside Down By His Jocks
In a painful and somewhat embarrassing end to a police chase, a suspect has been found dangling upside down from a six-foot fence by his underwear.
Police were called to Trimmer Parade at Findon in Adelaide's west just before 3.00am on Wednesday morning after reports of someone smashing windows at a home under construction.
Officers spotted a suspect nearby but he sprinted off when the patrol got close.
The 23-year-old's efforts to flee went all kinds of wrong when he tried to jump a 1.8metre-high fence.
His underpants became pinned to the railing and he was subsequently found dangling upside down by the officers in chase.
The Seaton man was helped down, cuffed and taken back to the local police station where he was charged with being unlawfully on premises, breach of bail and carrying an offensive weapon after a knife was found in his pocket.
He was bailed to appear in Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
Police are still investigating property damage.
