The family of little Stephanie Martinez have reached an agreement with Embassy Suites Hotel chains after their three-year-old daughter died trying to jump from a fifth-floor balcony in 2015. The young girl, who was visiting Disneyland, was trying to reach other members of her family who were seated at the first-floor courtyard and thought the fastest way to reach them would be to go over the balcony and jump to them. Her mother discovered her sand screamed which then scared the little girl and she fell to her death.
Her parents sued the Embassy Suites hotel chain claiming the "dangerous, defective and unsafe" conditions at the hotel lead to their child's death.
