The Artist Making The World See What They Don't Want To
It isn't just art, it's reality.
Turkish artist Uğur bases his work around living next door to one of the most dangerous regions in the modern world.
"The contrast between these territories reflects two different worlds for me, and it inspired me to portray this in my work," he told Bored Panda.
Uğur's work shows the stark contrast of life across the modern world to those living among death and destruction, especially children.
His work tackles everything from child soldiers to the refugee crisis.
He said his work is looking at a simple wish for the world to live in peace.
As one fan of his work pointed out online, "this is why art is important; it forces us to recognise unpalatable truths".
