Two Toddlers Killed, Baby In Hospital After House Fire

The toddlers were taken to hospital but could not be saved.

A blaze broke out inside a room of the Geelong East home shortly before 8am on Thursday.

Two young girls --  aged one and two years old -- were taken to hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

A six-month-old was also taken to hospital for smoke inhalation, and is in a non-life threatening condition.

Authorities say the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be established and the Arson Squad is attending.
