Brekky Wrap: Trump Protesters In London And Serena Williams In Wimbledon Final

U.S President Donald Trump has claimed credit for what he said were renewed commitments from NATO leaders to increase defence spending. While Trump called for all member states to lift spending to four percent of GDP, he said he was very happy for the nations to work towards the two percent that was agreed upon in 2014. Trump also said that after this intervention the relationship between NATO countries was "much more powerful than two days ago."

Trump has now moved on from Brussels to London where his European tour continues. It's Trump's first visit to the UK since taking office and he's set to have tea with the Queen and meet with Prime Minister Theresa May. The President's arrival in the England was marred by hundred of angry protesters -- many positioning themselves at the U.S. Ambassador's official residence and Blenheim Palace where Trump will visit during his first say of the tour. The protests are expected to continue throughout Trump's visit which will include a six-metre-high baby Trump balloon that has been approved to fly in the skies of London.

Staying in London and new Brexit secretary Dominic Raab has outlined how the UK will plan to maintain a trade relationship with the EU. In what is being described as a 'softer' Brexit, the UK will aim to prevent difficulties with trade with European nations so both UK and EU businesses are not negatively affected. This principle of free movement saw former Brexit secretary David Davies and former foreign secretary Boris Johnson both resign from their roles after disagreeing with May's proposed strategy.

A manhunt is currently underway for two people after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in a Woolworths car park in Sydney's inner west on Thursday evening. The boy was with his brother buying grocery at the Balmain store when he was set upon by strangers who stabbed him in the stomach and hand. Police are currently searching for the couple at the centre of the incident.

Serena Williams will face Germany's Angelique Kerber in the Wimbledon tennis open final as she attempts to claim her eighth singles title at the All England Club. The Former world number one beat Germany's Julia Gorges 6-2, 6-4 in the semi-final and says that regardless of the final's outcome, she's surprised to have progressed so far in the competition. Wimbledon is William's first Grand Slam tournament since becoming a mother in September 2017.

The  2018 Emmy nominations have been announced with a real nod to streaming services. Netflix led the way with a whopping 112 nominations which ended HBO's 17-year streak of lapping up the most nominations. Game of Thrones got 22 nominations, the most for any series but it was closely followed by The Handmaid's Tale and Westworld which both received 20.

The charges against adult film actress Stormy Daniels have been dropped just a few hours after she was arrested. Daniels was detained for allegedly touching three undercover detectives while performing at an Ohio strip club. As Daniels doesn't regularly attend that specific club, the charges were dropped. Stormy Daniels has made headlines recently for claiming she slept with Donald Trump in 2006, for which she claims she received a large sum of money to conceal the affair.

The Masterchef pressure test claimed another on Thursday evening and this time, it was Kristen. The 27-year-old spok about her experience on MasterChef, overcoming her insecurities and developing life long friendships. "I think that's one of the biggest reasons we're so upset to leave the competition, you're cut off from that instantly.
