A man has been shot during a pizza delivery in west Melbourne early Saturday morning.

Police told media that a delivery man turned up at the St Albans address on Harmon Avenue when two attackers allegedly fired a volley of shots at a man at the property.

The 37-year-old victim fled the scene before police arrive  but officers found him shortly after 3am on Green Gully Road in nearby Keilor.

He was rushed to hospital and his injuries are reportedly not life threatening.

Police said the alleged shooters fled the scene, while the pizza delivery man was not harmed in the attempted take-down.

The incident comes after a shocking shooting attack on three tradies at a Melbourne building site earlier this week.
