Masked Man Storms Into Sydney Home
Man wearing a skull mask runs off with three others, after breaking into a Carlingford home.
A young mother and father have been left terrified after a masked man charged into their home in Sydney's north-west overnight.
The offender rang the doorbell of their property on Post Office Street in Carlingford at 9.40pm.
Female resident Bora Kim asked who was outside:
"I asked who is it? He said.. council. I thought it was a joke so I unlocked the door.. and suddenly they pushed the door."
That's when the male offender forced his way through their front door, with his face covered -- throwing the young mother to the ground.
"He was wearing a mask, or face painting like a skull."
The bandit motioned for the woman to keep quiet. Her husband came to the door and a fight broke out.
The couple managed to force the man outside. As they did, they noticed three more men waiting out the front of their property.
All four males ran off.
The residents suffered minor injuries.
But their frightened little boy was inside at the time, listening to the entire ordeal.
Officers from The Hills Police Area Command and the Dog Unit have been searching for the gang, but have not managed to track them down.
A crime scene has been established.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
