Kim Kardashian And Kylie Jenner Couldn't Sit In Their Oscars After-Party Dresses

Kim Kardashian West and Kylie Jenner wore dresses so tight and ornate, they had to lay down in their cars to get to the Oscars.

But no pain no gain, am I right?

Although the famous sisters did not manage to nab an invite to Monday's 92nd Academy Awards, they did dazzle their way into the Vanity Fair official after party.

And not to be outdone by award winners or shiny trophies, the duo arrived in what has to be the two most intricate and complicated dresses of the night.

The Reaction To Scarlett Johansson's Outfit Proves We've Forgotten What A Stomach Looks Like

Scarlett Johansson rocked the Oscars red carpet in a form-fitting metallic gown, revealing the itty bittiest of bumps.

But with great glamour comes great sacrifice. In order to pull off such spectacular couture gowns, they had to forgo any ability to sit. Or visit the loo, or breathe, or really do anything at all except stand and pose.

Both Kim and Kylie took to social media to offer fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how they managed in their insanely structured dresses.

Kim shared to her Instagram story a video of herself splayed out in the car. "I literally have to lay down in the car," he said.

Like, I cannot sit up because my dress will rip or pop or something. But it's worth it.

And "worth it" it was when you hear the unique origin story behind the look.

Kimmy K wore a pearly-coloured vintage Alexander McQueen gown that was gifted to her by her husband, Kanye West. The showstopping number featured a boned corset and mermaid tale, adorned with creamy scallops and loose-hanging tassels.

'The Oyster', as it was named during its 2003 runway appearance, is inspired by the sea. Only two were ever made, the other is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Keeping in theme, Kylie also flattened herself down like a fish in order to arrive wearing her after party ensemble.

Kylie wore a shimmery navy Ralph & Russo gown encrusted entirely in crystals and black netting. Sharing a photo of herself sprawled out in the car, she wrote "couldn't really sit in this but it was worth it."

Kylie then changed mid-event into a second frock, this time a fiery red Vivienne Westwood dress with an expertly positioned hip-high slit.

We continue to be surprised by the level of 'extra' the Kardashian-Jenners manage to pull into every public appearance. And their latest Oscars stint is a testament to their all-in attitudes.

Can't sit, can't eat, can't wee, can't breathe? Who cares. Because according to Kim and Kylie, it is so totally "worth it."
