Lizzo Has Swapped The Tiny Handbag For An Even More Bonkers Arm Accessory
Stuff the Grammys, Lizzo's enormous red carpet accessory deserves an award of its own.
Whether its a bumless dress or cinched corset, our lord and saviour Lizzo continues to treat us to a number of jaw-dropping looks.
And now, as one of the very first stars to walk the Grammy's red carpet, the musician has already been tipped to take out best dressed.
Lizzo has arrived at the 62nd Grammy Awards flaunting a bespoke all-white Versace dress hand-embroidered with Swarovski crystals. The Old Hollywood gown is all kinds of elegant, but it's the singer's choice of accessory that really has people talking.
The 'Truth Hurts' singer has swung an enormous white faux fur shawl around her outfit, outdoing even herself in the accessories game. The shawl is attached to her arm with two crystal studded handles, giving the illusion that the piece is one long, snake-like handbag.
The glamorous statement piece is only the latest of Lizzo's attention-grabbing arm accessories. Last year, she set Twitter alight when she debuted her hilariously tiny handbag at the American Music Awards.
The itty-bitty Valentino bag was barely big enough to hold a folded tissue and quickly became the butt of one of the funniest memes of 2019.
Lizzo's all-white elegant look is a lot to take in, but lean in a little bit closer and you'll see just how much attention to detail the star and her styling team has given the ensemble.
Hidden on her glittery manicure is what is believed to be a secret tribute. The number eight featured on every one of her nails, painted on with sparkly gold nail polish and silver crystals.
Some are assuming the '8' is a subtle nod to the amount of nominations Lizzo has picked up at the 2020 Grammy awards. Including Best New Artist, Song of The Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year.
Others are suggesting the nail art is a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, whose tragic passing was announced this morning only hours before the ceremony kicked off.
The basketball great wore the number eight throughout his lucrative career, and the number has been popping up on more and more artists as the red carpet rolls on.
Lizzo is a favourite to take out a number of categories at today's award ceremony. And while we all hope she wins a Grammy, we're certain she's already won the red carpet.
