Baby Archie's Picture Made A Nod To Australia That We Missed

Meghan and Harry made a 'bogan' outfit addition to Archie's clothing and Aussies couldn't be happier.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared a heartwarming video on Instagram about the year that was.

At the very end of the IGTV clip was a previously unseen photo of Prince Harry cuddling his son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The rugged-up pair are sporting jackets and beanies in the photo that was believed to be shot by Meghan.

But it's little Archie's feet that have Australian Royalists swooning.

The seven-month-old is wearing a pair of UGG boots, the quintessentially Aussie shoes that were gifted to his parents on their 2018 Australian tour.

In October 2018 Meghan and Harry announced their pregnancy while officially visiting Australia. Upon hearing the exciting news, Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lynne gifted the royal couple an itty bitty little pair of UGGs for their brand new baby.

UGG boots are known as our nation's token 'bogan' shoe, but there's something about seeing them on a royal that really classes them up.

Archie's fuzzy beanie was another nod to our neck of the woods.

The grey beanie was given to the couple during their trip to New Zealand. The hat was made by Make Give Love -- a Kiwi organisation that gifts a hat to those in need every time a purchase is made.

'The Meghan Effect' is a well documented fashion phenomenon, and it seems that 'The Archie Effect' is in full swing as well.

After the Make Give Love hat was snapped on the young royal, the New Zealand company was inundated with orders, informing their customers their handmade purchases were going to arrive later than usual due to the influx.

Meghan And Harry Left Out Of Preview Of Queen's Christmas Day Message

Hours before Christmas the royal family shared a preview of Queen Elizabeth II's annual address, but eagle eyes were quick to point out that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren't included.

The trio spent a cold Christmas in Canada with Meghan's mum Doria Ragland, controversially opting to spend time with Meghan's side of the family rather than Queen Elizabeth II and Prince William's flock.

The Sussex family are believed to still be in Canada, with British tabloids reporting that they are staying in a $13 million mega-mansion.

According to 'The Mirror', the waterfront estate is complete with its own pizza oven and wine-tasting room. Several locals have told the press they have spotted the young family about town hiking, relaxing, and enjoying a well-deserved break from their hectic royal lives.
