Hilary Duff Joins The Two-Outfits Trend In New Snaps Of Her Wedding
The actress rang in the new year by sharing never before seen pictures from her wedding reception.
Marrying her fiance Matthew Coma at their Beverly Hills home on December 21, Hilary Duff, 32, also debuted a second outfit she changed into later in the day: an incredible gold sequin two-piece top and pants set.
"Making promises to this guy was by far the best day/night of 2019. 2018 was so special because of Banksy," she wrote on Instagram referring to their daughter Banks Violet Bair.
"2019 will always hold our wedding feeling grateful for health, our family, love, and dreams coming true. Can’t wait to buckle up for 2020."
The 'Younger' star made the switch after their first dance and before the pair cut their wedding cake.
Hilary also swapped her delicate drop earrings with big gold hoops and put her diamond and pearl head band away in exchange for a sleek pony tail with a gold hair accessory around it.
Hilary's wedding gown was custom made by designer Jenny Packham, with the dress being made of an ivory crepe fabric and featured dramatic sleeves, an open back and a fish tail skirt.
The British designer told Vogue that Hilary had a very clear brief on how she wanted to look in her wedding day.
“She wanted a very accentuated shoulder and a very clean, very beautiful, and to me, very confident look," Jenny, a favourite designer of Kate Middleton, said.
“And then it’s got these cape-like sleeves with a split up the front, which form an amazing train at the back of the dress,” she explained.
Last month, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that Hilary and Matthew's wedding was 'small and low-key' with only family and close friends in attendance.
“The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard,” the source said.
“Her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close.”
Sharing details of the day in a video with Vogue, Hilary said writing her vows was the 'hardest thing I've ever done'.
"It's hard to have five minutes to tell someone all that they mean to you and all the things that you love about them and why," the actress said.
The pair had been dating since January 2017 after first meeting in 2015 when Matthew, a music producer, co-produced Hilary's album 'Breathe In, Breathe Out'.
They split briefly in March of the same year, but by September, Hilary began sharing updates on social media, suggesting the pair were back together.
In October 2018, the couple welcomed their daughter and further announced their engagement on Instagram in May.
Hilary was previously married to former hockey player, Mike Comrie, 39, for four years, who she shares seven-year-old son Luca with.
Hilary has been facing a hectic working schedule, with her popular series 'Younger' which appears on Stan being renewed for a seventh season and also filming a rebooted 'Lizzie McGuire' series for the Disney Plus streaming service.
