What Angie Kent Did With The Ring Timm Gave Her In 'The Bachelorette' Finale
Both 'The Bachelorette' finalists gave Angie Kent a ring, despite her choosing to be with Carlin in the finale.
Even though he wasn't chosen by Angie in the end, Timm Hanly has been widely praised for the way he graciously handed the 29-year-old telling him she had chosen to be with someone else.
When Angie began to cry as she tried to tell Timm she had chosen Carlin Sterritt, he took her into his arms, hugged her and tried his best to make her feel better.
"Don't cry... I am so happy that I met you and I cherish every moment with you," Timm said.
"I love Carlin. If I could pick anyone to treat you how you deserve, it's him. Please don't be sad."
Both Timm and Carlin had selected rings from Dracakis Jewellery, the official ring partner of 'The Bachelorette', to present to Angie should they be the last man standing in the end.
But despite Angie not choosing him, Tim still presented her with his ring, slipping it onto her middle finger which she accepted.
"This can be a little piece of me," he told Angie at the time.
On Friday, Angie explained what she did with the ring, a $2,500 18CT rose gold claw set round brilliant cut diamond criss-cross dress ring.
Angie said Timm was advised not to give her the ring, but he insisted Angie keep it. She is not currently wearing the ring but has kept it.
While Angie continued to wear the ring in the finale until Timm left following his tearful goodbye, she said removed the ring before her time with Carlin.
"I'm only wearing Carlin's [commitment ring] now, but Timm gave me that gift and it's my gift and it's something to remember him by," she said while appearing on The Kyle & Jackie O Show.
Not as a romantic thing but as our time together.
Carlin's ring was also selected from Dracakis Jewellery, who were also used in Ali Oetjen's season. However unlike Timm's dress ring, it is actually typically given as a wedding band.
However is was presented to Angie as a commitment ring, with the cost being approximately $2,500.
"This beautiful band throws convention to the wind, cutting a unique figure with its milgrain accents," the website ring description reads.
"Groupings of diamonds form teardrop-shaped outlines that are sure to draw attention, so you can flaunt this sparkler alongside your engagement ring or rock it as a statement piece that will take you from day to night."
The Isabelle teardrop milgrain diamond band is made of 18CT rose gold and is accentuated with 0.18 carat of diamonds.
It also comes in yellow gold, white gold and platinum.
