'I'd Say Yeah Or Nah': Angie Kent's Rules For Her 'Bachelorette' Wardrobe Stylist

To reality TV fans, Angie Kent is a familiar face, having appeared on 'Gogglebox' and I'm a 'Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!'

Given those shows respectively involved sitting on a couch and surviving the jungle, it's clear to see Angie -- much like her style-- is quite carefree.

That's why when it came to what she wore while weaving her way through potential suitors on 'The Bachelorette', Angie wanted to stay true to her boho style and what it says about her.

And that sometimes involved turning her thumb down to some particular styles, most of which the 29-year-old said involved form fitting silhouettes.

Speaking to 10 daily, Angie said she had a favoured phrase for stylist, Kim Hurwitz, was: "I’m not your bodycon Bachelorette, soz."

Sitting on a couch, Angie said she likes to wear outfits much like the one she has on which a a loose white crop top, flowy printed skirt and white sneakers, adding that she usually steers clear of clothes that are either a.) short, or b.) tight.

"They did get me in a lot of bodycon though, to be fair. By the end I was like ‘I’m The Bachelor-etteeeee’," she laughed.

Once I got more confident and embraced myself around these people, these men and getting to know them I was happy to be a little bit more experimental.

Angie said one of her Kim's particular talents (among many) was turning her into a "Bachelorette version of Angie". But in her true and honest style, Angie still had her requests.

"I was always like if you want me in tight or short it has to have like BIG sleeves, or it has to be sparkly, like it has to be something that’s statement. She was great though, she did listen. Not too much bodycon," she told 10 daily.

Angie explained that being on 'The Bachelorette' was like "almost going back to being a baby" because she had a team dedicated to doing her hair and makeup for her.

She said the process for getting ready involved a lot of fittings where she would say "yeah or nah" to the outfits. And while she brought little along with her to the Bach pad, Angie did make sure to pack some comfy outfits she could slip into between filming.

"I did bring just mainly my trackie dacks that you saw in the promo, slippers and just really boring things. Some of my shoes I wore a few times," she said.

When asked if having her clothes chosen for her was weird at all, Angie agreed and said the experience was "next level".

"On Gogglebox I always did my own hair and makeup and just wore whatever. Then in the jungle there was noooo makeup and I was in all matching clothes as everyone else," she explained.

So to go from that extreme of not even hardly showering and being so gross to having someone that would wake me up and do my hair and makeup and then clothes would come and they would be picked for me, it was crazy.

But Angie said it was her relationship with Kim, who she affectionately calls 'Kimmy',  that helped her to step out of her comfort zone and embrace her journey as 'The Bachelorette'.

"Kimmy was so great everything she picked I trusted. I wasn’t sure because I’m not a tight wearing person and I was quite self conscious but then I trusted her more and I trusted myself more and I fully just embraced it," Angie said.

'The Bachelorette' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm, only on 10, 10 Play and WIN Networks.
