All The Details Of The $30,000 'Memory' Ring Matt Agnew Gave Chelsie McLeod
In 'The Bachelor' finale, Matt gave Chelsie a 'memory' ring and all we could stare at was that giant rock.
"I've got a gift, as a memory, for this incredible journey that we've shared," Matt said to Chelsie as he slipped the stunning ring on her middle finger.
"Oh my god it's so pretty. What the hell. I can't believe this," Chelsie said in response. And we'd be saying the same if someone gave us a ring of that size on national television.
Speaking to 10 daily, Larsen's senior jeweller Kate Reid, gave us everything you want to know about the custom made ring, which reportedly comes with a $30,000 price tag.
Here's what Kate had to say:
Tell us the details
According to Kate, the custom-made ring is set with an impressive 3.73ct rectangular cushion cut grey Spinel gemstone.
It is accentuated by two dazzling shield cut diamonds on either side and is set in 18ct rose gold.
"The unique ring was entirely handmade by one of our most talented Jewellers," Kate said.
Matt's inspiration for Chelsie's ring
Kate said when Matt was shown a number of different ring styles, he gravitated toward the gemstones that had unique colours and shapes.
"We showed Matt a variety of designs and precious stones," Kate said.
"Matt was particularly taken by the rarity of the colours and shapes of some truly unique gemstones, and his final selection was carefully considered."
How the ring was brought to life
Kate then had a one-on-one consultation with Matt where they drew a sketch together so "he could see exactly what the final product would look like."
"Our talented Jewellers are so creative, and experts in what they do. They listened to all of Matt’s input, and used their skills to take the design to an exceptional level," Kate said.
"The end result was a stunning design with an incredibly beautiful gemstone which together encapsulate Matt’s personal taste and what he wanted for his special lady!"
