The Reason Vakoo Might've Made You Do A Double Take During The Bachelor

Vakoo is the queen of transformation and her hairstyle on Wednesday night's episode of 'The Bachelor' probably made you miss her.

The model has become an instant fan favourite thanks to her famous (and hilarious) four words, "Hi, my name's Vakoo".

But following her short hair style and striking bright pink dress on the first episode of 'The Bachelor', then her disappearance on the second followed by a reemergence on the third, you might've had to spend a second or so longer looking for her than usual.

That's because the 23-year-old's signature short hairstyle was noticeably absent and replaced by a long sleek style with her hair neatly tucked behind her ears.

So did Vakoo happen to grow Rapunzel-like hair overnight? The answer is no, Vakoo was in fact wearing an incredible wig.

"I started wearing wigs about three years ago," Vakoo told 10 daily. "I wear them mostly for work or when I have a big night out."

As a model, Vakoo said she likes that wigs can help her switch up her style and give her the added benefit of keeping her natural hair nice and healthy.

"I love playing around with wigs, each wig brings out a different character," she added.

Vakoo explained she uses different types of wigs, some that are glue-less and others that you apply with a special made glue for wigs. But her biggest tip for making a wig look natural is purchasing one with a lace front.

"They are the most natural," she told 10 daily. "The curly one is good because you can’t see any lace because of the bags."

Vakoo owns all of her wigs and said the difference between a good one and a bad one can vary depending on the length and whether it's made of human hair or synthetic hair.

"A bad wig can be brittle, hard and sheds a lot. A good wig is one you’ll be able to keep for ages, smooth, you can run your hands through it," she said.

In terms of how she decides on what wig will suit her, Vakoo said: "I have the head shape that actually suits a lot of different hairs styles so I’m never too worried."

In Wednesday night's episode, Vakoo brought her own wig and it was applied by The Bachelor styling team. "I just taped it down and they [the styling team] curled it," she said.

And will Vakoo be sporting any more wigs during the rest of the season? "You’ll have to wait and see," she added. "Definitely some amazing looks to come!"

'The Bachelor' airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm, only on 10, 10 Play and WIN Networks.
