Woman's Ingenious Fashion Hack After Red Wine Spill
Mia Williamson wasn't going to let a drop of red wine ruin her friend's outfit, so she came up with a hack on the spot and the results are going viral.
Most women know the pain of spilling something on an outfit. And Eleanor Walton definitely would've felt it when she spilled red wine on her white outfit during a day out with her friends.
But Eleanor's friend, Mia Williamson, decided to come up with an on the spot hack to save her outfit while out at the races in the UK.
Instead of letting her spend the day walking around with one blotch on her outfit, Mia decided to go all out DIY and soaked pretty much all of Eleanor's outfit.
Yes... they're still friends.
Mia took to to Twitter on Saturday night and wrote: "So we’re two hours into the races, and El comes and tells me someone has spilled red wine down her... no problem.
Got some more red wine and fixed it and I think we’ve just made a new product to PLTs festival range.
The tweet has since gone viral, being liked 123,000 times and retweeted 11,500 times along with several comments from those impressed by her ingenuity.
It was even spotted by the designers of the outfit, Pretty Little Thing, who responded with, "Safe to say that wasn’t a ‘pour’ decision."
Some even commented to say the new outfit looked exactly like one that is currently on sale at the online retailer.
Mia explained that she uses four glasses of red wine to transform her friend's outfit that has since been labelled as "genius" by Twitter users.
"I actually can’t get over this. This is ART gals," a user wrote.
"This is brilliant," added another.
To seal the look, Eleanor even tried to dry the liquid on her outfit by manoeuvring herself underneath the bathroom hand dryer. That's dedication.
Eleanor wasn't completely sold though. "I don’t know what part of my brain told me this was the reasonable solution hahaha," she later tweeted in response.
While most were impressed with the results and said the outfit looked even better after the impromptu makeover, several pointed out a flaw in their plan.
Eleanor would've spent the rest of the day walking around while reeking of red wine which is less than ideal.
"Yuck. Walking around smelling like stale wine," a Twitter user wrote.
Guess you can't please them all but points to Mia and Eleanor for their on the spot thinking.
