This Is How Kim Kardashian Achieved That Itty Bitty Waist At The Met Gala

The reality star went to extreme lengths to emphasise her famous curves.

As Kim Kardashian sashayed on to the Met Gala red carpet in a custom Thierry Mugler dress that emphasised her Jessica Rabbit-style proportions, the internet immediately went into overdrive with speculation that the star had surgically removed her ribs to achieve her impossibly tiny waist.

Now, the makeup mogul has revealed the secret behind her otherworldly figure at the prestigious event -- corsetting.

In a video for Vogue, the 38-year-old can be seen getting ready for the exhibition as a team of assistants tightly lace her into a corset created by Mugler collaborator, Mark Erskine-Pullin -- aka Mr Pearl.

After she's laced into the contraption, the star revealed she was no longer able to sit down.

"Ok so, Anna (Wintour), if I don't sit down for dinner, now you know why," she said, adding, “I’ll be walking around mingling, talking, but I can hardly sit. I can only half-sit.”

And while she looked undeniably fabulous, the soon-to-be mum-of-four admitted that she didn’t know how she was going to go to the toilet in her 'wet look' dress, saying in the video, "I won’t be able to pee for about four hours, so we’re coming up with a plan on what to do in case of an emergency and there are no other options."

After Twitter users accused the star of undergoing surgery to achieve her exaggerated hourglass figure, Kim's own personal trainer came out swinging at the haters, revealing the star's dedication to training six days a week.

"To make things clear, 1. This dress is corseted BUT 2. Kim trains her ass off 6 days a f***ing week, she wakes up early af and is dedicated," she began.

"3. I paved the road for her but SHE did the work! I love compliments either way. MOST IMPORTANTLY I don’t give a s*** about your opinions on her body if you think she fake or not!"

Designer Thierry Mugler came out of retirement to design the beaded gown for Kim's Met Gala look, reportedly taking eight months in total to design and create the dress.

"He envisioned me as this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping," Kardashian told Vogue on the Met red carpet.
