A Woman Accidentally Wore A Kid's Car Seat Cover As A Skirt

Mum-to-be Lori Farrell recently made an adorable fashion faux pas when she wore a stripy kid's car seat cover as a skirt.

Farrell shared photo evidence of her maternity-look-gone-wrong on Facebook with the caption:

"If you feel like a failure today, just know that I wore a car seat cover a friend gave me because I thought it was a skirt"

Yup -- that stretchy, stripy 'skirt' is supposed to be used to cover a child's car seat.

So how did she end up sporting the black and white garment/baby product in the first place? Well, it's really quite simple, as she explained to Motherly.

"A friend of mine had given me a huge lot of baby stuff, from clothes to baby carriers to a rocker and blankets and when I pulled it out I was not sure what it was.

I debated it but washed it anyway then decided because of the way it pulled on the side it must be a maternity skirt.

"When I got to work I googled the brand and realised not only do they not sell clothing but it was a car seat cover."

The car seat cover -- which is $24.94 from Amazon -- is made by baby brand Itzy Ritzy and Farrell shouldn't feel too badly about her ~unique~ interpretation of the product.

After all, in the product description, it is referred to as a "4-in-1 breathable, multi-use mom-boss breastfeeding cover, car seat canopy, cart cover and scarf" -- so why not a skirt as well?

Looks like Itzy Ritzy needs to update the description to "5-in-1," right?

The brand, it turns out, absolutely loved Farrell's quirky use for their car seat cover, dubbing it "the best thing we’ve seen maybe ever" in a post they shared on their Instagram account.

And the love didn't end their either -- mums have since flooded the comments section with praise and supportive messages.

julzmusic said, "This made me smile so damn much hehe."

jaivand joked, "@mrssandylynn Hahahha next date night outfit."

krw2862 could totally relate, saying, "@miss_a_lyss we've been this tired at work ?."

majella_rose could see it happening to her: "Hahahah this is hilarious! I probably would have done the same thing ??."
