Miley Cyrus Proves Cruelty-Free Fashion Can Be Chic AF
The singer's been slaying the streets of London in a series of slick -- and ethical -- lewks.
While in London promoting her new single, “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart”, Miley Cyrus has stepped out in not one but three chic, all-black outfits, and it's got heads turning.
Gone are the singer's high-cut leotards, latex bra and undies and punky platforms of yesteryear. Instead, she's sporting elegant high-waisted trousers and long-sleeve turtlenecks. The Miley fashion renaissance is in full swing.
But underlying her wardrobe makeover is a more subtle yet still significant message.
The long-time vegan and animal-lover has opted for pieces from ethical brands like Stella McCartney, proving that you can combine your love of farshun and your beliefs, all while looking chic AF.
Miles slipped on a vintage faux fur coat from Vivienne Westwood on December 7, over the top of a bodysuit from Wolford -- a waste-conscious brand -- a pair of Westwood shorts, and vegan leather cowboy boots by Casadei.
The previous day, the 26-year-old wore a mini-skirt and handbag by Chanel, a label that's used animal skin and fur in their designs -- until now.
The luxury brand wrote fashion history on December 3 -- the eve of the presentation of the fashion house’s "Métiers d'art" collection -- when it vowed "No more Croco for Coco."
Miley paired her Chanel pieces with thigh-high boots by her friend and fellow animal advocate, British designer Stella McCartney.
Rounding out her trio of eco-chic looks is a very ladylike pair of Gucci pants, turtleneck and matching gold 'GG' logo belt.
Months before Chanel's milestone announcement, Gucci became part of the International Fur Free Retailer program, making it a top pick for conscious fashion-lovers like Miss Cyrus.
This isn't the first time the ex-Hannah Montana star has worn her beliefs on her sleeve, so to speak.
The star looked divine in a black floor-length gown -- once again a Stella McCartney number -- at the Met Gala back in May, which she attended alongside a Stella-wearing Paris Jackson and the designer herself.
"I want to bring a message which is veganism and that there doesn't have to be torture in fabulous fashion," she told Vogue on the night.
Her recent collab with footwear giant Converse was vegan -- and cute and fun to boot.
You'd want to be an animal lover if you owned as many as Miley does. The singer and fiancé Liam Hemsworth shared a veritable menagerie at their Malibu home, which was sadly destroyed in November's devastating California wildfires.
Of course, Miley being Miley she couldn't help but let a little bit of her wild "Wrecking Ball" days *ahem* peek through, despite her newfound refined style.
We wouldn't have it any other way. You do you, Miles!
