The Saucy Pick-Up Line Lizzo Used On A Former 'One Direction' Star
The Grammy-nominated artist is a lot of things, but shy is certainly not one of them.
Lizzo is as brazen in life as she is in her lyrics -- just ask Niall Horan.
In an interview with Jimmy Fallon for 'The Tonight Show', the former One Direction star detailed his first encounter with Lizzo.
And it doesn't look like he'll be forgetting it any time soon.
He told Jimmy that meeting Lizzo left him blushing, especially after she surprised him with some good old fashioned flirtation.
Niall recalled first crossing paths with Lizzo during a radio performance: "She was coming in to do an interview in the studio as well, and someone said, ‘Oh, Lizzo’s here! She’d love to meet you.'"
While passing her in the corridor he said, "‘Ah! Lovely to meet you!’ I gave her a big hug. ‘Your voice is incredible. Your songs are amazing. You’re absolutely smashing it.'"
Then came the come-on to end all come-ons.
And literally, without missing a beat, she just went, ‘You can smash this!'
"And I was just like, ‘Fair play.' I actually started blushing myself!" Niall said, shaking his head smiling and slow clapping.
By the dumbfounded expression on his face, Niall remains as amused by the incident as he was when it first happened.
It's hardly enough to spark dating rumours, but the pair have been spotted greeting each other at an event since and appear to be on great terms.
And it's not the first time Lizzo has unapologetically let a guy know she's into him.
Early last week, the performer caused a media storm when she sat front row at a Lakers game wearing a dress with the back cut out, revealing nothing but fishnet stockings and her black thong.
While speaking to a court side reporter, Lizzo let the stadium know that the Minnesota Timberwolves number 32 had a fan in her.
Basketballer Karl-Anthony Towns was even serenaded by the popstar, as she sang the words "New man on the Minnesota Timberwolves" to the tune of her hit song 'Truth Hurts'.
This no holds barred approach to dating is the energy we all need to take into 2020.
Lizzo's thriving, Niall's flattered -- its a win-win situation.
