Frenchies Pose For Maternity Shoot Before Becoming Parents To Three Puppies

When Crystal Canion found out her two dogs Cozette and Boudreaux were expecting, she decided to mark the special occasion in a unique way.

Ringing her friend and photographer Cristal Malek, she asked her if she'd be interested in taking her French bulldogs through a maternity shoot.

"It sounded fun and we started planning the session to be a little unconventional and fun," Cristal told 10 daily. "Crystal wanted to capture Cozette's special moment."

Cristal, who usually spends her time photographing -- you know, people -- said "we had a blast".

"Cozette loves to get dressed up so she was more than happy to comply with our requests," she said.

"Of course we rewarded both Cozette and Boudreaux with treats throughout the session," she told 10 daily.

Cristal said both of the dogs from El Campo, Texas were very well behaved because... of course they were.

Not long after the maternity shoot, Cozette gave birth to three puppies under the supervision of a vet.

Cristal said she believes the puppies are going to loving local homes but is unable to confirm yet given the puppies are only a few days old.

Since participating in the photoshoot, Cristal's photos have gone viral with a number of publications both locally and internationally picking up her work.

She told 10 daily that the experience has "been a shock".

"I styled the session with typical images you would see a mother doing to showcase in a fun way that pets are people too," she said.

I was just doing what I love and having fun with it in studio. Never did I imagine how viral this session would become. Being creative is just part of who I am.

Following the experience with Cozette and Boudreaux, Cristal said she would love to work with more dogs as well as other animals in her studio.

"I’m always happy to work with local rescues and shelters as well to showcase the personalities of the many pets available in an effort to help them find a fur-ever home," she said.

"Each animal is unique which allows for creativity, fun and out of the box sessions."
