Miley Cyrus Just Hit Back At Brody Jenner Over Joke About Liam Hemsworth

Brody Jenner has weighed in on Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's split -- and the singer was having none of it.

Miley and Liam released a joint statement over the weekend confirming their marriage of less than a year had ended and the "Cattitude" singer has been living it up on Lake Como in Italy with pal Kaitlynn Carter.

Kaitlynn -- who split with husband Brody Jenner a year after their wedding -- and Miley have been luxuriating in Italy on their 'Hot Girl Summer' vacation and shared a few smooches that were caught by the paps.

After getting wind of what his former partner was getting up to overseas, 'The Hills' star Jenner posted a melancholic shot by the ocean in Malibu, writing: "Don't let yesterday take up too much of today".

Brody's 'The Hills: New Beginnings' co-star Brandon Thomas Lee then jumped into the comments, suggesting they should "round out and scandal and post a pic of us making out".

Which, if you're still following along because this is a saga, is where Brody brought Liam into the mess of a comments section.

"Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon," he joked to Lee with an emoji of two men holding hands.

The comment was brought to the attention of Miley and, quick as a flash, she offered some advice to Kaitlynn's ex.

"@brodyjenner go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer," she wrote, with the emoji of two girls dancing wearing bunny ears.

The comments came after Miley cryptically addressed her split with Liam on Instagram writing that "change is inevitable" alongside photos of her scaling a mountain.

Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of , which was once under water , connected with Africa , change is inevitable. The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed.

She added that her dad Billy Ray had always told her "Nature never hurries but it is always on time”.

"It fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own."
