Are you the holder or one of the world's best passports?

The Henley Passport Index has ranked the world's most powerful passports in a list by analysing which ones are the most travel-friendly.

Asian countries topped the list of the passports the easiest to travel on, with Japan taking out the top position, followed by Singapore and South Korea.

Japan was named number one for offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 191 destinations around the world.

Aside from the countries of Asia, Europe also showed a strong presence in the list, with Italy, Finland, Spain, Luxembourg and Denmark all appearing in the top five.

If you have a fear of flying, this is the list for you.

Australia's position on the ranking has remained consistent at number nine, however the US, UK and New Zealand have fallen in the rankings for 2020 when compared to their position in previous years.

"The Henley Passport Index is the original ranking of all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa," their website states.

"The ranking is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest and most accurate database of travel information, and enhanced by ongoing research by the Henley & Partners Research Department."
