Mum Catches Son Using Alexa To Cheat On His Homework
We have to give it to him for his out of the box thinking.
There are few things kids want to do less than their maths homework, so one cheeky young boy decided to enlist the help of Google Alexa to give him a little bit more than a helping hand with his times tables.
Mum Leanne Gormanley posted a video of her nine-year-old son Bryce caught in the act of cheating as he asked the device questions such as: "Alexa, eight multiplied by four" as he records the answers.
Bryce asks one more question before he is interpreted by his mum who questions: "What is going on here?"
The nine-year-old doesn't seem concerned though, cracking a smile at being caught before he responds: "Doing my homework."
Leanne replies: "No, that is not how you do homework," as she tries to hold back her laughter.
Still, Bryce continues to ask Alexa questions to which Leanne said: "You do realise you’ll be doing all this again yourself?"
The video has now gone viral with over two million views, gaining a further 21,000 reactions and 32,000 shares.
"I would say it’s a fantastic effort son NOT. Alexa is NOT how you do your home work Bryce," Leanne wrote in the caption of the video. "10/10 for cleverness on this, really could not believe the cheek of him doing it when I was in the vicinity."
While a cheeky move, many have applauded Bryce for his clever thinking.
"Wow would not have thought of that ever. Smart boy," wrote a commenter.
"This is amazing!! Hats off to him!!" added another, while a third said it was a "sign of the times".
Someone please, give this kid a medal.
