'Get Your Own Kids': Pink Dyes Daughter's Hair To Stick It To The Parenting Police
Pink has had enough of being told what she can and can't do with her own children, so she's taken another stand.
And after her friend Jessica Simpson got roasted for choosing to dye her daughter's hair and share the results on Instagram, Pink decided she'd stick up for her on her behalf.
Sharing a picture of herself personally dying her eight-year-old daughter Willow's hair blue, the 39-year-old made it perfectly clear she wasn't going to let anyone tell her how to parent her own children.
"I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven year old get her hair colored. So we thought we’d share what we did yesterday," she wrote.
The iconic singer also added the hashtags: 'get your own kids', 'parenting police are actually just lonely sad people' and 'I'll dye your hair too losers'.
She decided to disable comments as well, likely to put a stop to any further unsolicited parenting advice with the post receiving over a million likes.
Jessica Simpson, 39, was 'mum-shamed' last week when she shared a photo of her seven-year-old daughter Maxwell with dyed pink tips.
Re-igniting the long debated argument over how young is too young to let your children dye their hair, many followers suggested Maxwell was not old enough to be allowed to have coloured hair.
However a number of parents came out in support of Simpson, with a many stating they had dyed their own children's hair and some even shared their pictures on their own social media.
Pink previously defended herself after sharing a photo online of her son Jameson, two, without a nappy on, which spiraled into a debate about circumcision.
The singer deleted the original photo which exposed her son's genetalia and reposed an image where she blacked it out after comments were made about his circumcision.
"There’s something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision???" she wrote at the time.
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, she added: “I just won’t share them anymore,” she said. “I won’t do it. I’m not posting pictures of them anymore.”
The singer also defended her husband, Carey Hart's decision, to take Jameson on a dirt bike as well as her children running around the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, Germany.
