An Ooshie Just Sold for Almost $100K And The World Has Officially Gone Mad
Many laughed when one of the rare furry Simba Ooshies showed up on eBay with a starting bid of nearly $10,000 but who is laughing now?
On Thursday, the first 'super rare' furry Simba Ooshie went for auction on eBay starting at an eye-watering $10,000. But, now, five days later it has actually it has officially sold for almost 10 times the amount.
No we're not joking.
The 'Furry Simba' has sold for a ridiculous $99,900 with 108 bids made over the length of the auction.
Only 100 of them are available and it shows just how in demand the Ooshie really is.
People have gone crazy over the news on social media, stating it must be a scam or users placing fake bids.
"Surely people are fake bidding because that is insane!" One person wrote.
"It's just people on extra accounts making fake bids, which I approve of when people ask stupid prices like this," added another.
"That's just insane like really," wrote a third.
Many questioned what exactly happens if you don't have the money to pay for the item.
"What happens if you win the bid but you don’t have the funds?" One person questioned.
Another joked it is likely a child on their parent's phone without their knowledge.
"Probs some kid on Mum's phone."
The hunt is now on for the remaining 'Furry Simba' Ooshies, even more so now when considering how much they could go for on eBay.
The Woolworths Lion King promotion finishes on August 13 or until stocks run out.
