Rapper, Flautist And Bona Fide Badass Lizzo Wants To Normalise Butt Dimples And Stretch Marks

2019 has been the year of Lizzo.

The Detroit-born rapper, flautist and singer-songwriter played Coachella last month, hit up the Met Gala a few weeks ago and is in the middle of a mammoth tour that will see her take the stage at European festivals including Glastonbury, Roskilde and Lovebox.

Her record 'Cuz I Love You' cracked the Billboard top 10 this month, sitting quite comfortably among the likes of Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and Post Malone.

Lizzo has become known for her excellence in twerking, making flute-playing sexy again, and her unapologetic LOVE of her body in all its glory.

She recently bared all for a double-page spread in Rolling Stone, rightly requesting on her Instagram to "put me in the LOUVRE b****"' when the issue was released.

Fans of Lizzo will know she's championed body positivity since day one -- purely for herself, and no other reason.

“I’m doing this for myself,” she told Essence magazine this week.

“I love creating shapes with my body, and I love normalising the dimples in my butt or the lumps in my thighs or my back fat or my stretch marks," she said.

"I love normalising my Black-ass elbows. I think it’s beautiful.”

Lizzo was interviewed by Sam Smith last month for V Magazine and explained the loving relationship she has with her body.

"No matter what angle you shoot it at, no matter the lighting, my body is just so f***ing beautiful all the time.

"I may talk s*** about it sometimes, but f***. She’s still a bad b***.”
