David And Candice Warner Are Expecting Their Third Child
Former Ironwoman, Candice Warner, has taken to Instagram to share the news that the couple are preparing to extend their family.
In a touching post written beside a collage of her favourite moments of 2018, Candice wrote:
"Being together has made us into the family we are today. We are so grateful for all the love and support everyone has shown us this year. It is with a full heart that @davidwarner31 & I would like to share with you that in 2019 our family of 4 will become a family of 5. We have another beautiful baby joining our family. We are so thrilled! We wish everyone a Happy new year. X"
The happy news comes just months after the pair revealed Candice had suffered a miscarriage just one-week after her husband David's tearful press-conference which saw him apologise for the now infamous ball tampering incident.
In an interview with The Australian Women's Weekly back in May, Candice recalled the "heartbreaking" moment she discovered she had miscarried their baby.
"I called Dave to the bathroom and told him I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried,” she told the publication.
Candice went on to reveal that the couple had been trying for a third child for "months".
"I don’t think either of us realised how much we longed for this baby. We had been trying since last July," she said.
David is currently serving a 12-month ban from international and domestic cricket along with former Australian captain Steve Smith for their roles in the ball tampering scandal which took place in South Africa in March.
Fellow teammate, Cameron Bancroft, copped a nine-month ban.
During an interview with Channel Nine's Sports Sunday, Candice revealed that her husband has been up and down since the ban came into force.
"When David has his bad days, they are really bad," she said. "But they are few and far between now."
But the pair has managed to keep themselves relatively busy -- they are already parents to two daughters, Ivy Mae and Indi Rae.
