New Music Face Filters Have Hit Instagram Stories So Get Ready To Bop
Always wanted to star in your own music video? Now you can.
From Today, the crazy-popular photo sharing platform has released a swag of new features, and one of them is set to be a sure-fire hit with anyone who loves to throw on a tune and show off their moves.
So ... basically everyone.
Instagram's new range of face filters responds to the music you add to your story, creating a range of effects in time with the song's juicy beat.
As you hop, bop and generally drop it like it's hot, the filter reacts with some seriously sick effects, transforming your solo singing sesh into something akin to a music video.
We're picturing a cross between Lip Sync Battle and an Australian Idol audition.
As with most of Insta's features, these new music filters are pretty easy to find. In your Stories camera, swipe to Music in the camera tray, select a song, and then you'll see new effect options above the music icon.
Pick one and get groovin.'
Insta also rolled out several other fresh features for Stories, including a countdown sticker that lets you count down to a special moment -- a wedding, the birth of a baby, a pizza being delivered ...
There's also a music option in the Questions sticker so you can ask your friends for suggestions for a road trip song or a New Year's party playlist, and they can throw a few tracks your way.
Live videos got two new features allowing you to share your responses to questions stickers, as well as photos and videos -- vertical and horizontal videos will auto-adjust to the right size.
Gram on, everyone!
