'Looks Ridiculous': The Unusual Kids' Breakfast Pete Evans Makes His Daughters
Most kids get a couple of slices of toast or a bowl of cereal.
Not Pete Evans' daughters Chilli, 14, and Indii, 12. Sharing a photo of what the celebrity chef serves up before they head to school, he labelled it the 'surf and turf breakfast'.
The extravagant breakfast consists of boiled organic eggs topped with Yarra Valley caviar, sauerkraut and grass fed wagyu beef hotdog topped with chilli sauce.
That's one fancy breakfast.
"They also get a little fruit and coconut yoghurt and chicken broth most days before heading off for the day," the 46-year-old added.
"Always some form of animal fat and protein in the form of land or water based animals including eggs."
Just 50 grams of the caviar will set you back $26.90 while the wagyu hotdogs are more reasonable at $6.50 for six.
According to Pete, his daughters eat fish eggs with a number of their meals because they are big fans of it.
"The girls favourite food is fish eggs so we get a jar every week as a treat," he wrote in a post on Instagram.
It seems if their dad isn't able to whip up their brekky, the kids have themselves covered, with Evans previously sharing one of Indii's homemade meals.
"Indii on breakfast duty for herself today while we fast," he said.
"She made fried organic eggs in duck fat with hot dogs, spicy tomato sauce, avo, lime and parsley from the garden."
Following a Paleo lifestyle, Pete and his family don't eat gluten, dairy, processed foods and sugar, while living just outside of Byron Bay.
Evans shares Indii and Chilli with his first wife, former professional skier Astrid Ellinger, who he separated from in 2011.
Pete is now married to former model Nicola Robinson.
