'I've Finally Done It': Tziporah Malkah Reveals She Lost 50kg With Hypnosis
The 45-year-old former model, previously known as Kate Fischer, has opened up about her incredible transformation.
You'd be forgiven for not recognising 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant Tziporah Malkah, as the former model and actress is now, quite literally, half her size.
Once tipping the scales at 120kg, the star -- formerly named Kate Fischer who was once engaged to Aussie billionaire James Packer -- now weighs 70kg after shedding an impressive 50kg -- she looks (and feels) fabulous.
“I’ve finally done it, shed the excess," she told New Idea. “I’m down 10 dress sizes -- from 24 to 14. This is the lightest I’ve been since I was 35 -- more than a decade!” Tziporah said.
Tziporah has since revealed that she finally lost the weight with the help of hypnotist Mark Stephens, who performed what he called “hypnotic lap band surgery” on the star, which aimed to help her address emotional baggage and replace negative thoughts with positive ones.
“Now, whenever I pass the lolly section at the supermarket, a mantra Mark taught me rings in my ears,” she told the publication.
“I don’t want it, I don’t need it, I won’t have it!”
In another interview with 'A Current Affair', Tziporah got candid on her life following the disintegration of her two-year engagement to billionaire James Packer in 1998, saying it was at that point that her life began to unravel and the kilos began to pile on.
“Instead of rich, famous and beautiful, I was sort of poor, hiding away and morbidly obese,” she told the program.
After numerous futile attempts to shed the weight -- including lap band surgery, which she says "didn't work" -- the weight still refused to budge.
It was only after discovering Little Forest Lifestyle Retreat, located 2.5 hours south of Sydney, which uses meditation and self-hypnosis to promote healthy eating and portion control, that she started to see results.
“I was like, here we go again, more of this ‘hocus pocus’. But this actually has worked for me,” she said.
Along with embracing a positive mindset, she's also enlisted the help of personal trainer Ivan Murray, who has helped the star replace wine and cheese while watching TV with long daily walks and weight sessions.
“There were stops, starts and setbacks along the way. I mean, on occasion, I’d party with friends and wine and pizzas came into it -- of course they did!” she said. “But sooner or later, I’d listen to my personal trainer and try harder.”
Most importantly, Tziporah revealed she's finally learned to love herself, saying, “I no longer hate myself, I actually really like me!”
