Fellow WAGs Launch Wave Of Messages To Nadia Bartel Following Heartbreak
Nadia Bartel's close friends have rallied around her after she spoke about her split with former AFL player husband Jimmy Bartel for the first time.
Australian celebrities and friends close to the fashion influencer and business owner publicly supported her after she said she was "heartbroken" by the state of her marriage.
Rebecca Judd, Lana Wilkinson, Marie Uva, Renee Enright, Brit Davis, Lauren Phillips and Emma Hawkins are just some of the women who have expressed their support for Nadia.
“An amazing wife, mother, business woman and friend who is as caring, loving and loyal as they come. She deserves the world. I ADORE you @nadiabartel," Rebecca Judd, wife of former AFL player Chris Judd, wrote.
Celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson added: “An incredible mother, business woman and friend — @nadiabartel we are lucky to have you in our lives and are right behind you."
“Beautiful inside and out, successful and an amazing mother. You deserve all the happiness in the world @nadiabartel and you have an army of people behind you that all love you," celebrity hairdresser Marie Uva also wrote.
The outpouring of support comes after the 34-year-old spoke to the Herald Sun, noting it had been a "difficult month" for her.
The publication reported that "friends of the couple" had confirmed Nadia had found out about her husband's rumoured relationship with Melbourne-born, UK-based woman Lauren Mand "via text messages".
"Although I'm heartbroken, I don't want to comment specifically on what's been reported about Jim's trip to the UK as I don't think that is in anyone's interests," Nadia told the Herald Sun.
"My single focus now is to continue to protect, care and provide for my two beautiful boys as this is a personal matter," she added.
“I am so thankful for my very supportive family and friends.”
A number of the partners of Geelong Cats football club players further came out with messages for Nadia.
Renee Enright, wife of former veteran player Corey Enright, wrote, "She’s the most incredible mother, sister, daughter and friend. I could not be more proud of your strength my beautiful Nonna @nadiabartel Such a dignified response in what is such an awful time. ♥♥ LOVE YOU.”
AFL player Joel Selwood’s fiancee Brit Davis wrote: “The most beautiful person inside and out."
“One of the most gorgeous girls inside and out. Deserves all the happiness and kindness in the world," TV presenter Lauren Phillips wrote.
“One of the most gorgeous people inside and out,” Tom Hawkins' wife Emma Hawkins added.
During an appearance on radio show 3AW on Saturday, Jimmy, 35, admitted the situation is "not great" but didn't confirm or deny whether he and his wife had separated or not.
“I am probably not going to provide any commentary on it,” the former AFL player and father of two said.
“I know I am in the public eye and people are interested, but it is a private matter and I ask for a bit of respect because obviously Nadia and the boys [are] involved.”
When asked if he'd continue to work during the trying time, Jimmy said, “I still enjoy coming to work and I love working with everybody in football. I love the game so I can’t see why I wouldn’t keep showing up for work.”
Jimmy flew to London six weeks ago during the AFL’s bye period and the couple separated upon his return. He has since moved out of the family home.
Their split emerged last week after rumours surfaced after Nadia and Jimmy unfollowed each other on Instagram, Jimmy also made his profile private and Nadia has been seen without her wedding ring in recent weeks.
The couple initially met at the Melbourne F1 Grand Prix and Jimmy proposed a year later in Mexico, with the couple marrying in a lavish wedding on the Bellarine Peninsula in 2014.
Nadia and Jimmy Bartel share four-year-old son Aston and Henley, one.
