Candice Swanepoel Is Not Here For Bullies Criticising Her Post-Baby Body
You go gal!
Candice Swanepoel wants the world to know that she’s proud of her post-baby bod -- and she DGAF if you have a problem with it.
Nearly a month after giving birth to her second bub Ariel, the Victoria’s Secret model shared a pap shot of herself at the beach -- with a special message clapping back at critics who felt the need to voice their opinion on her changing body.
“This is me 12 days after having my son. If you have something bad to say about it … check yourself. Society can be so cruel to one another. Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days,” she wrote on her Instagram Story Wednesday.
“I’m not ashamed to show my postpartum tummy. I am proud actually. I carried my son for nine months in there. I think I’ve earned the right to have a little tummy,” the 29-year-old added. “Is it because I’m a model? Well, we are normal people too so let me enjoy the beach in peace please.”
Adding a second photo showing off her gorgeous baby bump, the mum of two added, "I don’t have to hide my stomach just because people have unrealistic standards of women. We create life. What can you do?
"Ladies, we are all in this together be kind to each other.”
The South African stunner and her partner, Hermann Nicoli, welcomed son Ariel on June 19. The couple are also parents to 1-year-old son Anaca.
