Kim Kardashian Makes Brave Return To Paris For Landmark Louis Vuitton Show
There were tears.
It was a landmark day in sunny Paris on Thursday when Virgil Abloh -- the first black man to head up a major European design house -- presented his very first Louis Vuitton's men's wear collection at Paris Fashion Week.
All we have to say of the 37-year-old artistic director's debut is a big YES. The edgy, colourful sportswear-inspired range signaled a fresh, modern direction for the centuries-old brand.
The likes of Bella Hadid, Rihanna, Naomi Campbell and some Kardashian-Jenners lent their start-power to the historic, emotionally-charged event that featured a diverse range of models and a rainbow runway.
Kim Kardashian made her big return to the French capital after the horrific 2016 robbery that saw her bound, gagged and locked in her hotel room while armed thieves stole about $15 million worth of jewellery.
Kim, 37, was accompanied by husband Kanye West and sister Kylie Jenner, who sat front row with boyfriend Travis Scott and BFF Jordyn Woods. The beauty mogul wore a bright blue look from Virgil's collection and appeared relaxed and happy.
Kanye's day was equally as poignant, with the rapper breaking down in tears while embracing Virgil at the conclusion of the show. The two have been friends for almost ten years and have collaborated on fashion projects in the past, one of which launched Virgil's career.
No doubt it was an overwhelmingly proud and happy moment for the pair -- you just have to watch then hugging it out to see that.
Here's a veritable rainbow of LV-loving celeb looks. Enjoy, and viva Virgil!
