But before this loved-up pair tie the knot at Windsor Castle on May 19, let's have a look back at some snaps of the American actress to reveal the making of a princess.
The early years, 1980s
It all began back in the days of Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears. Born in Los Angeles on August 4, 1981, Meghan gets her gorgeous complexion from her mother, who is of Puerto Rican and African American descent and her father, who is of Dutch, English and Irish decent.
Who's that girl, 2005
After graduating from Northwestern University in 2003 with a double major in theatre and international studies, Meghan decided to pursue a career in acting and in her early days she supported herself by working as a calligrapher. Here she attends the Kari Feinstein Pre-Emmy Style Lounge in 2005.
Making her markle, 2006

Va Va Voom! You might be surprised to learn the royal-to-be once appeared on the NBC game show Deal or No Deal. Many of Hollywood’s elite are unaware she was on the show, but Meghan was a case model in 2006 and 2007.
