Katy Perry Joins 'MasterChef Back To Win' As A Guest Judge
Since Season 1, Katy Perry has been an iconic fixture of the MasterChef kitchen.
For the past 11 seasons, Katy’s “Hot N Cold” has been the one and only track that plays during the opening credits, as the MasterChef hopefuls happily throw flour in the air or gleefully place one final profiterole onto a pre-made croquembouche.
Now Katy is lending more than just her track to the show, stepping into the kitchen herself for the very first time.
While she was in town performing at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup and a free bushfire relief concert in regional Victoria, Katy found time in her schedule to stop by MasterChef to film an Immunity Challenge.
Alongside Season 12’s brand new judges Jock Zonfrillo, Andy Allen and Melissa Leong, Katy got a chance to judge some of the returning contestants competing for their second chance at the MasterChef title.
“What makes the MasterChef Australia kitchen so special? The fact that ANYTHING can happen!” Melissa Leong said.
“Cue Katy Perry serving us pop star realness and a dose of honest food-loving opinion as guest judge. A day that won’t be forgotten soon, that’s for sure.”
Since falling pregnant, Katy also revealed to the MasterChef contestants that she’s been craving spicier foods -- even carrying hot sauce in her bag (swag).
Sounds like MasterChef Back To Win is going to be chock full of surprises.
