Macauly Caulkin Joins Latest Season Of American Horror Story

Ryan Murphy has revealed the cast for the upcoming tenth season of American Horror Story on Instagram.

With a moody little teaser of a beach and Orville Peck's "Dead of Night" playing in the background, Murphy's post showed off a handful of the names that would be returning to the show.

Along with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin, some of Murphy's favourites are also returning -- Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters -- after the pair sat out Season 9.

The cast has been rounded out with a few other familiar faces from Murphy's roster of AHS stars including Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe and Leslie Grossman.

As per the usual tradition of American Horror Story, the overarching theme of Season 10 is still being kept under wraps. Last season, American Horror Story: 1984, was a throwback to classic horror slashers like Friday the 13th.

Despite rumours that Season 10 would be the last, AHS was renewed for a further three seasons in January -- meaning there'll be at least 13 in total.

Prior to the extension in the contract, Murphy said when he thought Season 10 would be their last he had some big plans.

"We're working on an idea for Season 10 that I think people will love because it's about reuniting fan-favourite actors to come back -- because it might be our last season," he told Deadline in November last year.

"I’ve been quietly reaching out to various people. Some people I haven’t reached out to yet because I was like ‘Do I have a role for them?’ So far, everybody I reached out to said ‘Yes’, so that’s been great."

Since the renewal there's been no word on if Murphy has pivoted and will be doing a completely different theme, we'll just have to wait to find out.
