Olivia Newton-John 'Blown Away' By Daughter Chloe Lattanzi On 'Dancing With The Stars'
Olivia Newton-John has spoken of the pride she feels watching her daughter Chloe Lattanzi perform and grow on 'Dancing With The Stars Australia'.
In an exclusive interview at her cancer wellness centre in Melbourne, Newton-John told 10 News First her daughter has come a long way in a lot of areas in her life.
"I'm so happy that she's happy, and just shining, and has so much power and strength and bravery," she said of Lattanzi, her only child.
"She's doing things I never could have done."
Speaking to her daughter about her performances on Channel 10's Dancing With The Stars, Newton-John held back tears.
"You just have a natural beauty and grace that is just so wonderful to watch, it just makes me well up," she said.
Singer-songwriter Lattanzi has battled substance abuse, anorexia, body dysmorphia, and depression, but said Dancing With The Stars has made her like herself for the first time.
"I have self-worth again, and I'm finding with each week new strength," she told 10 News First.
"I really want to inspire anyone who's been sick -- mentally or physically -- to know that you can accomplish anything you want to and you are stronger than the negative voice inside of you.
"I'm having the time of my life... It's like a rebirth."
Newton-John has been in the studio audience watching her daughter during the filming of the show, and thinks Lattanzi has inherited her mother's 'perfection gene'.
"Every week she gets better and more adventurous," the proud mum said.
"I am blown away by what she's doing."
Lattanzi told 10 News First she had overcome a lot of fear by performing on Channel 10's hit dance show.
"I'm a singer-songwriter. I love being in the studio but I realised when I went out to sing live it terrified me. But dancing, I love that," she said.
"Maybe through this experience of getting through these nerves, I'll be able to sing live again."
