'The One To Watch': Judges Tip Celia Pacquola As 'Dancing With The Stars' Frontrunner

Craig Revel Horwood has a reputation as the 'mean judge' on Dancing With The Stars but he had nothing but praise for actor and comedian Celia Pacquola.

Celia and her professional dance partner Jarryd Byrne had the daunting task of dancing first last week with a Cha Cha Cha to Lizzo's "Juice" but this week, they had a nailbiting wait as the last couple to take the stage.

While Celia was a little concerned that the foxtrot sounded "like a fast one", Jarryd assured her that it'd be nice and slow.

The stakes were high this week as our dancing celebs faced their first elimination round.

At rehearsal, Celia quickly learned that it's her new favourite dance because it involves "walking, no hips, and no eye contact" but all jokes aside, the comedian absolutely nailed the entire routine.

Conjuring images of an old-fashioned movie set in a gambling den, Celia and Jarryd glided around a pool table and finished up by throwing wads of money in the air which was truly spectacular.

"I'm just going to go to the casino now to dance in front of some people to stop them gambling!" she jokingly told Grant Denyer.

And even though the crowd went wild after the stunning performance, Celia was still a little bit nervous about what the judges might have to say.

‘That’s The Best I’ve Got’: Dean Wells The First Celeb Voted Out Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Despite a breathtaking breakdance on night one, Dean was, unfortunately, the first of our stars to sashay off the dance floor.

Sharna jumped in to reassure Celia that she wasn't going to put anyone off gambling with that routine, saying she was speechless for all the right reasons.

"You're this incredibly awkward human and then you go out and do that, it's amazing, it was sexy, it was sensual, it was nuanced and the choreography was beautiful," Sharna added.

"I loved everything about it, my jaw was open the whole time," she said, tipping veteran Jarryd as a possible winner this year.

Tristan echoed all the comments regarding Celia's sexiness and then, in a cruel blow to Beau who had been chasing this elusive move, said that she just "glides".

One of these 10 stars will sashay their way to the mirrorball trophy, and all for a good cause.

But it was Craig Revel Horwood's comments that were to cause Celia the most surprise.

"You, my dear, are the one to watch," he deadpanned.

"I was prepared for a fight," Celia replied, before saying "thank you" to the usually cranky judge.

Celia and Jarryd earned the best scores of the night an 8, 9 and 8 from Craig, Sharna, and Tristan respectively.

Dancing With The Stars airs Sundays at 7.30 on 10 and 10 Play.
