‘That’s The Best I’ve Got’: Dean Wells The First Celeb Voted Out Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Despite a breathtaking breakdance on night one, Dean was, unfortunately, the first of our stars to sashay off the dance floor.

The ‘Married At First Sight’ star performed an energetic cha-cha during the premiere, complete with high-vis, scaffolding and some high-kicking backup dancers.

The stakes were high this week as our dancing celebs faced their first elimination round.

But it wasn’t enough to wow the judges with Sharna scoring a 3 and Tristan and guest judge Mandy Moore giving Dean a 4 each.

In the second week, performing a tango, Dean once again found himself not a favourite of the judges, scoring a 3 from Craig, a 4 from Sharna and a 5 from Tristan.

After the tango, Dean told Grant, "That's the best I've got."

The judges weren't thrilled.

“Every time I looked at it, something was going amiss,” Craig Revel Horwood told the pair.

Sharna Burgess meanwhile complimented Dean’s frame calling his second dance a vast improvement from week one, but admitted that by the end of the dance the hard work seemed to slip away from him.

Still, falling to the bottom of the leaderboard alongside comedian Ed Kavalee, the panel of judges were tasked with picking which star they wanted to see dance into the next week. Unfortunately for Dean, all three judges chose Ed.

"I've had the best time ever so I can't complain," Dean said after the news. "To meet all these people, the best group of people, we've had so much fun and I'm just happy to have been involved."

Dean’s time on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ was in support of BridgIT Water Foundation, an organisation that aims to provide accessible, clean and sustainable water to those in need.

“We often take for granted how vital water is to every aspect of life,” Dean wrote in a post on Instagram.

Dancing With The Stars airs Sundays at 7.30 on 10 and 10 Play.
