'I'm A Celebrity' Stars Shocked After Finding Out Kobe Bryant Died
Our final five celebs were left shocked after being informed that NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna had been killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
Watching the annual 'News From Home' segment featuring Channel 10's own Sandra Sully, the stars were visibly upset by the news that the sporting legend and his daughter, along with seven others, were killed in the tragic crash in Calabasas, California.
During the segment, Dale, Cos and Miguel are seen clutching their hands to their faces in shock, while Charlotte's mouth dropped as Sully informed the campers of the news which can be seen in full in tonight's episode.
"Kobe in his personal Helicopter..." a stunned Dale said following the clip, while Cos added, "And his daughter".
"That’s devastating," Rhonda later said after tearing up throughout the segment as Charlotte concurred, saying, "That’s really, really devastating".
"Kobe is one of the greatest to ever play in the NBA. He’s in the same argument as Michael Jordan, LeBron. LeBron and Kobe is the argument," Dale added.
It's just one of several updates our jungle dwellers are to receive in tonight's episode, along with updates on the bushfire crisis, Harry and Meghan stepping back from the Royal Family, as well as the death of “the godfather of Australian cuisine" Tony Bilson at the age of 76.
The latter served as an added blow for Miguel, who considered Bilson a mentor and was previously head chef at Bilson’s restaurant Number One when he was just 27 years old.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sunday to Thursday at 7.30 on 10 and 10 Play.
