I'm A Celebrity 2020: Tom Williams The Fifth Celeb To Leave The Jungle In Emotional Exit
After more than two weeks in camp, Tom Williams was the fifth celebrity to pack up his things and farewell his celebrity campmates.
It was one of the most emotional exits we've seen so far, with the camp in complete shock at his departure and many of them in tears as they said their goodbyes.
Handing Miguel Maestre a small piece of pasta in the shape of an elephant -- left over from the night the celebs won pasta for dinner. Tom tearfully revealed that Miguel gave it to him right before he had to embark on the dreaded trial where he had to come face-to-face with his severe phobia of snakes.
And face it he did when he was the sole celeb voted in to the Bad Breath tucker trial which saw him stick his head inside a range of horrific boxes full of things like giant hissing cockroaches, the dreaded Surströmming (fermented herring) and -- of course -- a whole mess of snakes.
Tom’s time in the jungle was in honour of Redkite, an organisation that works with children diagnosed with cancer and their families.
“Anything I can do to help them,” Tom told 10 daily before heading into the jungle, “to help those families… They’re not a big charity, so if I can lend a hand in any way and suffer some snake torture. So be it!”
Despite breaking down in tears before the trial had even begun, Tom went through with the trial and was able to single-handedly bring back a perfect 13 out of 13 stars to his hungry campmates.
It wasn’t just snake torture Tom suffered, delivering one of the most hysterically funny performances in Oh My God, an eating trial alongside Tanya Hennessy, Perez Hilton and Dale Thomas.
Gagging, retching and a complete emotional mess -- Tom was the absolute trooper we adore him for, even going so far as to win the final star for the celebs by eating a giant cockroach.
Tom follows fellow celebs Dilruk Jayasinha, Nikki Osborne, Billy Brownless and Erin Barnett back into the real world where he can continue living snake-free and happy.
